When Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro launched, it shipped with Android 15, but has since been updated to Android 16. This phone was originally released on 11 / 2024.

Expected: Android 17 (last version ever)
Asus has promised that Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro will get Android 17. However, this is only the manufacturer's promise, as far as we know - Asus might release even further updates to the phone later or might end support earlier on.
Based on what we currently know, the expected Android 17 will be the last Android update for Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro. After this update, the device might get security patches, but wont get any new major Android versions to it.
