When Sony Xperia 1 IV launched, it shipped with Android 12, but has since been updated to Android 14 (9 Jan 2024). This phone was originally released on 5 / 2022.
Upcoming updates?
Expected: Android 15 (last version ever)
Sony has promised that Sony Xperia 1 IV will get Android 15. However, this is only the manufacturer's promise, as far as we know - Sony might release even further updates to the phone later or might end support earlier on.
Based on what we currently know, the expected Android 15 will be the last Android update for Sony Xperia 1 IV. After this update, the device might get security patches, but wont get any new major Android versions to it.
