When Sony Xperia 1 VII launched, it shipped with Android 15, but has since been updated to Android 16 (16 Sep 2025). This phone was originally released on 5 / 2025.

Expected: Android 17, Android 18 and Android 19
Sony has promised to deliver these major Android versions for Sony Xperia 1 VII: Android 17, Android 18 and Android 19.
However, this is only the manufacturer's promise, as far as we know - Sony might release even further updates to the phone later or might end support earlier on.
